Kaye's Gourmet Out-of-State Travel Requirements

 

Requirements for Out-of-State Catering Services

The following requirements apply for Kaye's Gourmet to travel out of state to host client catering events. Compliance with these requirements ensures a seamless and efficient experience for our clients.

1. Travel and Baggage
  • The client is responsible for the full cost of travel and baggage for the chef and one assistant or additional Kaye's Gourmet team member.

  • All travel and baggage needs will be determined by the Kaye's Gourmet team. The client must pay promptly to avoid price fluctuations.

 

2. Accommodation and Local Transportation
  • The client is responsible for all accommodation and local transportation during the event.

    • Acceptable accommodations include hotels or Airbnb properties.

    • Local transportation must include a full-size SUV to facilitate the carrying of equipment.

 

3. Catering Equipment
  • The client is responsible for sourcing and renting all catering equipment, including but not limited to:

    • Chafing dishes and burners

    • Plates and utensils

    • Buffet tables

    • Tablecloths

 

4. Waitstaff
  • The client is responsible for sourcing and covering the cost of waitstaff:

    • Waitstaff must wear black slacks, white button-up shirts, and black shoes.

    • For weddings, waitstaff must be booked for the entire duration of the event.

    • If the chef has worked with a specific waitstaffing agency in the location, the recommended agency must be booked.

 

5. Hotbox Rental
  • If the venue does not provide a hotbox, the client is responsible for sourcing and renting one to keep food at the proper temperature.

 

6. Commercial Kitchen Rental
  • The client must rent a commercial kitchen with the following specifications:

    • At least one 4-6 top burner

    • At least four stock pot burners

    • At least one commercial-sized oven

  • The kitchen must include all necessary equipment for food preparation.

  • The client must book the kitchen for the minimum amount of time the Kaye's Gourmet team determines necessary to execute their work.

  • The Kaye's Gourmet team must review and approve the kitchen and its location before the client pays the Kaye's Gourmet deposit and books the kitchen.

 

7. Out-of-State Charge
  • A 25% out-of-state charge will be applied to the total of all invoices to cover opportunity costs.

  • All out-of-state services must meet our minimum food spend requirement of $6,000. Events that do not meet this requirement will be subject to additional opportunity cost charges and a low minimum fee.

 

8. Exceptions and Modifications
  • Certain cities, states, and countries are exempt from or subject to modifications of these requirements due to Kaye's Gourmet's established resources in these locations. Current locations for exceptions or rule modifications include but are not limited to:

    • Dallas

    • New Jersey

    • Lagos, Nigeria

    • Arizona

  • Additional locations may be added over time.

 

Adherence to these requirements ensures a smooth and professional execution of your catering event. Please review and confirm your agreement to these terms when booking with Kaye's Gourmet by sending an email with your full name and contact information to Feedback@Kayesgourmet.com stating that you have read these terms and you agree. Note that the name and contact information on the confirmation email must match the details that will be reflected on the invoice.
